Sylvester Denies Sexually Assaulting Ross At Murder Trial
Sylvester made the revelation during a taped interview with police shortly after Ross was killed on Aug. 17, 2005.
The tape was played for the jury of eight women and four men in the Newmarket courtroom.
On the recording, a police officer asked Sylvester if a forensic analysis would find traces of semen on the garbage bag of bloody clothes he dumped in a wooded area.
Sylvester said material would likely be found.
However, he said he masturbated after disposing Ross' body and it was a way to relieve stress.
Sylvester has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder.
He has admitted to causing Ross' death, but has denied it was murder.
