Three new outdoor sports fields will be built at Markham's new Bill Corthers Secondary School for Athletics and Healthy Active Living.
The shared use of these upgraded fields at the school will provide a first class facility for Markham's soccer organizations.
A kick off ceremony will be held tonight at the Milliken Mills Soccer Dome, 7700 Knennedy Road, at 6pm.
Mayor Frank Scarpitti will be in attendance, along with youngsters from the local soccer community.
The project is in partnership with the York Region District School Board and the Town of Markham
