Power Out In Markham After Storm

A power disruption from yesterday's thunderstorm was still affecting parts of Markham this morning.
Streets affected were Ramona Boulevard, Wooten Way, Avondale Crescent, Sir Constantine Drive, Sir Caradoc Place and Sir Bedevere Place.
Powerstream estimated that the power would be back on by 12:30 today.

Vaughan Recount Starts Wednesday

The city of Vaughan will begin a recount of 1,600 disputed ballots from last fall's municipal election. It will start tomorrow and is expected to take several days.
The recount will be another chapter of the bitter feud between former mayor Micheal Di Biase and current Mayor Linda Jackson.
