Charity Ride Comes To Markham Village

Main Street Markham is expected to be awash in a sea of motorcycles Saturday morning as Canada’s 911 Ride arrives in Markham village.
The second annual Canadian ride aims to raise funds to assist families of emergency responders who have fallen in the line of duty and help children who have been victims of violent crime.
The ride also works in conjunction with the Mikey Network, which works to place defibrillators in as many public places as possible.
About 240 charitable riders will take part in the ride and are expected to arrive in the village between 10 and 10:15 a.m.
