YRP Search For Sex Assault Suspect

York Regional Police have released a composite image of a man wanted for inappropriately touching a teenaged girl in Thornhill on Aug. 28.
At about 2:45 p.m., the 14-year-old girl was walking on Kirk Drive close to Yonge Street when the man approached her.
According to police, The man grabbed the girl and inappropriately touched her repeatedly.
She eventually escaped from her attacker and ran to a nearby restaurant. She was not hurt, police said.
The man wanted for the attack is described as Caucasian, possibly of Portuguese descent, 40 years old, five-feet, 10-inches tall with a medium build, short black hair, scruffy black beard, a big nose, yellow crooked teeth, strong body odour, and a generally unkempt appearance.
The man was wearing T-shirt, black pants and a white belt and was carrying a ripped green gym bag over his shoulder.

Markham Woman Wakes Up To Find Intruder

A Markham man has been charged after a woman woke up to find someone lurking in her bedroom on Saturday.
The man fled the scene when the woman awoke.
A probe was launched by York Regional Police and a man was arrested in connection with the home invasion.
Ron Kakar, 18, of Markham is charged with break and enter with the intent to commit an indictable offence and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
Police are still investigating.
