Sylvester In Court For Sentencing

Daniel Sylvester may find out today how long he must remain in jail before being eligible for parole in the murder of his 25-year-old neighbour.
In May, after less than four hours of deliberations, a jury found Sylvester, 33, guilty of second-degree murder in the beating death of Alicia Ross on Aug. 17, 2005.
Judge Ted Minden will hear sentencing submissions and rule on parole eligibility on the conviction, which carries an automatic life sentence with no chance of parole for at least 10 years.
