Description : new exhibition created especially for the Varley Art Gallery and cruated by Katerina Atanassova shows an unusual selection of 24 colour manipulated images exploring a great variety of textures and surfaces by John Reeves. Known primarily as a portrait photographer, Reeves uses one of Margaret Atwood's most acclaimed early book, Surfacing as an inspiration for his latest art project. This selection of photographs began as black and white images which were further explored and changed through a heavy manipulation of colour. Press Release - Intersection of Woodbine Avenue and Bloomington Road to remain closed through evening rush hour

NEWMARKET – The intersection of Woodbine Avenue and Bloomington Road will be closed through the evening rush hour due to an earlier motor vehicle accident that has damaged a traffic light pole.

Both lanes on Woodbine Avenue are expected to be closed through the intersection until approximately 5 p.m.

Westbound lanes on Bloomington Road Avenue will also be closed until approximately 5 p.m. Eastbound lanes on Bloomington Road will be closed until approximately 7 p.m.

York Regional Police remain on scene to investigate the collision.

York Region has dispatched crews to repair the traffic lights as well as the downed traffic light pole. Staff from York Region’s Roads Transportation branch are also putting temporary signs along the roadways.

Motorists are advised to detour around the area of Bloomington Road and Woodbine Avenue by using Highway 404 for northbound and southbound travel, and Bethesda Road or Vandorf Road for eastbound or westbound travel.
