Markham Native To Play In WNBA All-Star Game

Tammy Sutton-Brown has been elected to play in the WNBA All-Star game.
The Markham native, who plays for the Indiana Fever, is averaging 12.5 points per game this season.
Sutton-Brown will suit up for the Eastern Conference on July 15.

The Blue Jays began the second half of the regular season on a losing note, falling to the Boston Red Sox 7-4.
The Bosox roughed up starter Roy Halladay who gave up five runs; four of which came in the first inning.Game 2 of the four-game weekend series goes tonight in Boston.
Sean Marcum (4-3) will face Boston's Julian Tavarez (5-7).
First pitch - 7:05pm

The Argonauts picked up their first home win of the season, defeating the Calgary Stampeders 48-15.
Quarterback Micheal Bishop threw three touchdown passes before having to leave the game with an injury to his throwing arm.
His status is unknown.
The Argos return to action on July 21, when they play the Stamps in Calgary.

At the FIFA Under-20 World Cup, yesterday's winners were Chili, Nigeria, Argentina and Mexico.
The Quarterfinals take place this weekend in various Canadian cities.
