Local Students to Receive A+ for Entrepreneurship

Markham, ON ~ The Ontario Ministry of Small Business and Entrepreneurship and the Markham Small Business Enterprise Centre are giving high grades to local students who demonstrated a flair for entrepreneurship by successfully completing the Ontario Summer Company 2007 Program or winning the Secondary School Business Plan Competition.

What: Young Entrepreneur Awards Presentation

Who: Mayor Frank Scarpitti and Markham Members of Council will join local students, parents,
teachers, principals, mentors, as the Town of Markham and the Ontario Government
celebrate Markham's youth and their interest in entrepreneurship.

Honorary Guest Presenter: Ted Northcott, Regional Advisor, Ministry of Small Business
and Entrepreneurship

The Markham Small Business Enterprise Centre is presenting the annual Young
Entrepreneur Awards to honour the local winner of the Secondary School Business
Plan Competition, and those students who have successfully completed the Ontario
Summer Company Program

The Summer Company Program and the Markham Secondary School Business Plan
Competition are initiatives of the Ontario Government, with support from the Town
of Markham. The programs assist enterprising students to start-up and run their
own summer businesses
