Prizes Include Boomerang2 Car Tracking / Retrieval systems worth approx $800 each!

This event is a five stage car rally for show participants and other car enthusiasts who wish to participate in a fun, light hearted 90 minute "Sunday Morning Drive" in the local Markham area.

The event is a combination of some of the more fun aspects of car rallying and includes a Navigational Poker Run with a Scavenger Hunt theme and a few extra surprises to keep the event light hearted and fun for all participants.

Registration for the Rally Component is $50.00 with all fees going to the Thomas & Tallis Charity Foundation supporting programs for youth sport and education in Markham. Space is limited to the first 40 vehicles, car show participants will depart first and have a reserved location for there vehicle on main street at the completion of the rally. Prizes will be awarded on the Main Stage to the car (Driver and Navigator) in three categories for the most points collected based on each leg of the course.

This event is held in co-operation and generous assistance of the
Main Street Markham BIA.
Walk up Registration is permitted provided we have not reached our maximum number of participants.

Children's Festival Comes To Markham

The Milliken Children's Festival is this weekend.
Now in its ninth year, the festival is York Region’s largest children’s event, featuring entertainment, crafts and activities for everyone from two to 12.
It’s free and includes children’s performers, face-painting and balloon creatures, hair braiding and henna art.
The festival runs Saturday at the Milliken Mills Community Centre, 7600 Kennedy Rd. from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Ontario To Spend $30 Million to Replace Markham High School

The province says it will spend $30 million to replace Markham District High School.
MPP Michael Chan says the 53-year-old facility will be replaced as part of a plan to rebuild and renovate schools.
The school will be built on the same property as the existing building, just farther east.
It is not yet known when the new school will open.

The Blue Jays are in Tampa Bay to begin a three-game weekend series against the Devil Rays.
Dustin McGowan (9-8) will face Tampa's Edwin Jackson (4-13).

The Argonauts will welcome the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to the Rogers Centre tomorrow afternoon.
Hamilton will likely have their newest acquisition, quarterback Casey Printers, in the lineup.
Kick off - 3:00pm


Markham Waxers kick off their regular season tonight, when they host the North York
Rangers.
Game time is 7:30pm at the Centennial Arena (8600 McCowan Rd).
