Three Youths Charged With Robbery

York Regional Police have arrested three people in connection with a street-level robbery in Markham.
On August 21, a man and a woman were walking near Lincoln Green Drive when a vehicle with three males pulled up beside them and then parked in a nearby driveway.
The three males confronted the victims, stealing a large quantity of cash, before feeling the scene.
Charged with Robbery and Breach of Recognizance are Jason Segre, 18, of Markham, a 15-year-old Markham youth, and a 16-year-old Markham youth.
All three are to appear in court throughout the month.

YRT Bus Collides With SUV

An 18-year-old woman was rushed to hospital in critical condition after an SUV collided with a York Region Transit bus yesterday in Richmond Hill.
The woman, who is believed to have been the driver of the SUV, was reportedly attempting a turn in front of the bus at the intersection of Elgin Mills Road and Bathurst Street when the two vehicles crashed.
A hydro pole fell as a result of the crash, knocking out power to approximately 6,000 customers in parts of Richmond Hill and Vaughan.
