Sports Report

The Maple Leafs suffered a 3-2 overtime loss to the Atlanta Thrashers.
The Leafs do earn a point from the game and are now one point from the 8th and final playoff spot.
Toronto welcomes Pittsburgh on Saturday night.

The Raptors are in Washington for a match with the Wizards.
Andrea Bargnani made an appearance at practise yesterday, but is still not ready for game action.
The Italian rookie had emergency surgery last week, to remove his appendix.

The Blue Jays were doubled up by the New York Yankees, 6-3.
Both Reed Johnson and John Ford-Griffin hit solo homers, in a losing cause.
It was also announced that pitcher Tomo Okha was named the team's fourth starter.
The Jays take on Cleveland this afternoon in Florida.

Toronto FC signed six Canadian rookies to their development league.
Among the rookies was Thornhill native Tomer Chencinski.
Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Marlies take on the Rochester Americans tonight.
Toronto is coming off a 5-4 victory over Rochester on Wednesday.

The Rock host the Philadelphia Wings tonight.
Game time is 7:30pm at the Air Canada Centre.
