Smog Advisory Continues For York Region

A smog advisory for all of York Region continues today.
Temperatures are expected to rise to 31C and a low of 17C is forecasted with a UV index of 8 or very high.
But warm spring showers may break the smog as there is a 40-per-cent chance of rain and a risk of thunderstorm this evening.
During the smog warnings, you may experience eye irritation.
Heavy outdoor exercise may cause respiratory symptoms such as coughing or shortness of breath, and people with heart or lung disease including asthma may experience a worsening of their condition.
