Youth Injured After Vaughan Collision

A 16-year-old boy is in serious condition, after a collision between a motorcycle and a bicycle in Vaughan.
Yesterday, at approximately 11:55am., the boy was riding his bicycle, south bound on the side walk of Bathurst Street, approaching the west bound Highway 407 on ramp.
At the same time, a 43 year old Bradford man, operating a Kawasaki motorcycle, was south bound on Bathurst street entering the on ramp.
According to York Regional Police, the boy, attempting to continue south on Bathurst Street, turned into the path of the motorcycle, causing the collision.
The boy, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to Sunnybrook medical centre in Toronto.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to York Central hospital were he was treated for a broken wrist.
