YRP Investigate Markham Condo Fire

An 84-year-old Markham woman is in critical but stable condition at Sunnybook Hospital, after being found unconscious in her condominium.
On Sept. 1, York Regional Police and Markham Fire were called to a fire at 610 Bullock Avenue, in the Highway 7 and McGowan Road area.
According to reports, the woman and a relative escaped the fire, but went back into the condominium to rescue her cats.
The woman was overcome by the heavy smoke and was soon found by fire services.
The cause of the fire is unknown and police did not find any evidence to suggest foul play.
The investigation continues.
