A Markham man has been fined $2000 for illegal deer hunting.
Yu Xuan Zhang pleaded guilty yesterday in a Peterborough court room.
Based on a tip, the Ministry of Natural Resources and OPP found Mr. Zhang with a deer he had shot with a rifle in Galway-Cavendish-Harvey Township on Dec. 8th.
Hunting for deer in the area had ended on Nov. 19th.
Along with the fine, Zhang is banned from hunting for two years.
