A Newmarket judge has decided that all ballots in Vaughan’s November municipal election, will once again be fed into vote tabulation machines for a recount ordered last week.
Justice Peter Howden has ordered the machines to be programmed differently than they were on election night.
The machines will be programmed to spit out about 1,600 ballots that weren't counted.
Only those 1,600 ballots will be counted manually, with a judge presiding over disputes.
The recount will occur within 15 days.
