Lawyer Accuses Boyfriend Of Planting Evidence

A lawyer for accused killer Daniel Sylvester suggested Wednesday that the boyfriend of Alicia Ross planted evidence to incriminate his client.
Defence lawyer David Hobson accused Sean Hine of placing a cigarette, a glass and sandals in the Ross family's backyard to make it look like Sylvester had deliberately murdered the 25-year-old Thornhill woman.
Hine had told police he thought whoever had killed Ross may have hit her from behind and dragged her away because of the way the items were situated on the grass in a straight line.
Hine denied he had placed the items in the yard.
Jurors were also shown photos of the victim's remains, which made many onlookers in the courtroom uncomfortable.
