A prominent Pakistani politician has been charged with the murder of a Richmond Hill woman who had been living in his Islamabad home.
Muhammad Shahid Jamil Qureshi, had initially been charged with illegal confinement of Kafila Siddiqui, 39.
The charge was upgraded on Wednesday.
Qureshi posted a $1,800 bond and was released on bail on Wednesday.
He also resigned as minister of state for communications on Tuesday.
