Markham, ON, June 13, 2007 - Christian Children’s Fund of Canada (CCFC), a child-focused international development organization, has recently moved its head office operations to the town of Markham.
CCFC Country Directors from Nicaragua, Paraguay, Ethiopia, Ghana, Sri Lanka and India will be visiting the new location on Wednesday June 20th and sharing about the tangible impact everyday Canadians are making in the world of international development work (Water and Sanitation, Education, HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Micro-Enterprise Development) through their financial support.
CCFC, an internationally renowned Canadian charity for over 45 years has purchased, restored and renovated a vacant, dilapidated building at 1200 Denison Street that stood empty for over one year in the Town of Markham.
Now that CCFC is settled into our new Markham home, we will be celebrating this successful transition with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Also in attendance will be Markham Deputy Mayor, Jim Jones, Markham Town Councillors, Markham Board of Trade representatives and Markham residents who support the work of CCFC.
Markham has long ranked as one of the top 25 Canadian cities to support CCFC. Markham residents donate over $150,000 every year to help children living in extreme poverty and with this year’s support Markham will likely surpass the $1 million dollar donation mark.
