Two Toronto men are facing charges after a Scotia Bank branch was held up in Woodbridge on Monday.
At about 3:30 p.m. two men walked into the bank at 8565 Hwy. 27. north on Langstaff Road. One of them passed a note to a teller demanding cash, according to York Regional Police.
The men were handed a small amount of money and bolted into a cab.
Officers in police cruisers later saw a cab with men matching the suspects’ descriptions riding inside, stopped it and made a pair of arrests.
Mohamed Abdi, 23, of Etobicoke and Sharmarke Hussein, 21, of Toronto are charged with robbery.
