Oak Ridges MPP Frank Klees wants Ontario to proclaim the third Monday in January, "Martin Luther King Jr. Day."
Klees introduced the private member's bill in Queen's Park on Monday.
He stated that honouring Dr. King, would also highlight the heroism of the members of the Underground Railroad for whom Canada was a main destination of freedom for African-American slaves.
