Raptors' Rookie Sidelined After Surgery

Toronto Raptors forward Andrea Bargnani underwent successful surgery to remove his appendix early this morning.
In a released statement, the team said that the Italian rookie, will remain in hospital for the next few days.
Recovery times for an appendectomy vary and as of this afternoon, there is no timetable for his release or return to the lineup.
A bout of non-perforated acute appendicitis struck him sometime after Tuesday's practise.
Surgery is needed quickly in such cases before the appendix ruptures.
