Sports Report

The Maple Leafs begin a crucial home and home series against the Buffalo Sabers tonight.
Toronto is two points back from the 8th and final playoff spot in the NHL's Eastern Conference.
Game two will take place at the Air Canada Centre on Saturday night.

The Raptors welcome Carmelo Anthony, Allen Iverson and the rest of the Denver Nuggets.
The status of Anthony Parker and Jose Calderon is still in the air as both players continue to nurse their sprained ankles.
Tip off is at 7pm at the Air Canada Centre.
The Raps are six games above the 500 mark, and lead the NBA's Atlantic Division, 6.5 games in front of New York and New Jersey.

Roy Halladay had a rough outing, but the Blue Jays rallied to defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 5-3.
Frank Thomas led the way, with a homerun.
The Jays face the Minnesota Twins this afternoon, in Florida.

The Stouffville District Secondary School Spartans have won their second straight provincial (OFSAA) title in women's hockey.
The Spartans defeated Bishop Tonnos Catholic Secondary School, 5-1.
