Vaughan In Motion kicks off with a “Gala to Cure Cancer”

The Annual Vaughan In Motion “Gala to Cure Cancer” happens Friday March 30th at The Terrace Banquet Hall located at 1680 Creditstone Road in Vaughan.

Peter Badali, Chair of the volunteer-staffed not-for-profit organization explains,
“Last year we had over 700 guests, and raised over $40,000.00 dollars. This year we are hoping to exceed that.” He continues, “this year’s theme is ‘lean on me’, a message from the volunteers in Vaughan in Motion that the organization is here for everyone who needs us, whether it’s financial or emotional support they are seeking.“

The evening will be hosted by Radio Personality Elvira Caria , and is dedicated to recognizing the sponsors, fundraisers, volunteers and cancer champions who make a cure possible.

The musical entertainment is The Sounds of Motown featuring George St. Kitts.

The cost is $100.00 per person with a $25.00 charitable tax receipt being issued by the CCS. The Martini Bar opens at 5:30 pm!

Since its very first walk this local based group has donated over $400,000.00 to the Canadian Cancer Society.
