Sports Report

Sloppy defense allowed the Kansas City Royals to beat the Blue Jays last night 6-2.
Toronto committed three fielding errors, leading to three unearned runs for starter Jessie Litsch.
The Jays return to the Rogers Centre to begin a three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Roy Halladay (13-5) will face LA's Joe Saunders (6-0).

At the Rogers Cup Tennis tournament in Toronto, yesterday's winners included Dinara Safina, Patty Schnider and Tatiana Golovin.
The tournament continues at York University.

The Maple Leafs look to advance to the Intercounty finals tonight, when they face Guelph in game six of their best-of-7 series.
Toronto leads the series 3-2.

The Newmarket Hawks trounced the Thornhill Reds 11-1, sweeping their best-of-3 playoff series.
The Hawks move on to the semi-finals of the Toronto Baseball Association Junior playoffs.
