A vehicle attempting to cross Lake Simcoe, near Virginia Beach this morning, plunged right through the ice with the driver inside.
The man was not injured and was able to get out.
York Region Police are warning residents to stay off what is left of the ice.
There are areas of open water along the shorelines of Lake Simcoe and the condition of the ice has changed and police say it will continue to degrade in these temperatures.
